Blackpool Tower is a true British institution and an iconic feature on Blackpool's famous seafront. It continues to bring as much joy to visitors as it did when it was first built in 1894. The Winter Gardens built in 1878 as an entertainment centre hosts the Opera House, one of the biggest theatres in the UK and home to West End productions and concerts, the Empress Ballroom, venue of the World Dance Championships, Exhibition Halls, Bars, Cafe and public spaces. The splendour of this complex oozes sophistication and character.
